Food Programs

Free Meals
Free MealsHope Clinic serves free meals on Saturdays and Sundays at the Hope Center. The hot meal program utilizes volunteers of all ages to help cook, serve and clean up.

  • To get help:
    Meals are served from 4:00 - 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. No I.D. or proof of income required, diners sign in to receive their meal.
  • To help:
    To find out how you, your family or your church can volunteer to help with the free meal program, call Mary Dekker, Food Programs Coordinator, at 734-484-2989, ext 215.

Food Bank
Emergency groceries are distributed by appointment on Wednesday afternoons and Friday and Saturday mornings at the Hope Center. A household is eligible to receive emergency groceries once a month. Most of the food given out is donated by individuals, churches, community organizations, and businesses or received from Food Gatherers.

Fresh Produce Distribution Fresh Produce will be distributed by appointment on Monday afternoons 2:00 - 3:00 pm and Thursday evenings, 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

  • To get help:
    1. Call Hope Center to set up a food appointment.
      You must have an appointment to receive food.
    2. For food assistance, call after 8:30 a.m.:
      • Monday morning for an appointment on Wednesday between 1 and 4 p.m.
      • Wednesday morning for an appointment on Friday between 9 a.m. and 12 Noon
      • Thursday morning for an appointment on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 12 Noon
    3. Food is given out at Hope Center:
      • Wednesday afternoons between 1 and 4 p.m.
      • Friday mornings between 9 a.m. and 12 Noon and
      • Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon.
    4. You must bring picture I.D. to receive your food order.
  • To help:
    • Donations of non-perishable food, especially foods high in protein, are always welcome. Find more information on how to organize a collection.
    • Volunteers can sort and stock food in the Food Bank, prepare bags for distribution, greet and serve our clients. For more information, contact Mary Dekker, Food Programs Coordinator, at 734-484-2989, ext 215.
