Wash with Care
Wash with CareLow-income families can wash their clothes by appointment in a free laundry facility housed at Hope Center.

  • We provide laundry soap, although availability of laundry soap is dependent on donations.
  • There are six washers and eight dryers
  • We have a playroom for pre-school children adjacent to the laundry room.
Usually two families do laundry each morning, and two each afternoon. Participants are also encouraged to take advantage of the health information and parenting support available at Hope Center.

  • To get help:
Call 734-961-3124 on Friday morning, at 9:30 a.m. to schedule a laundry appointment during the following week. Appointments fill up quickly!
  • To help:
Donate soap: Donations of powdered High Efficiency (HE) laundry detergent and fabric softener sheets are always welcome. Find more information on how to organize a collection.

Care & Share Closet

Care & Share

The Care & Share Closet provides basic necessities not available with Food Stamps.

  • We often have toilet paper, soap, deodorant, shampoo, cleaning supplies, and a limited number of household goods.
  • The Closet depends almost entirely on donations, so availability of items varies.
  • Individuals and families may request supplies from the Closet once every two months and receive up to six items at a time.

  • To get help:
Visit Hope Center Friday afternoon between 2 and 4 p.m. and fill out a form requesting needed items. If you have a food bank appointment, you may request Care and Share items at that time.
  • To help:
Drop off your donations during normal business hours or call Hope Center at 734-484-2989 to make other arrangements. Find more information on how to organize a collection.

Financial Assistance
Hope has access to limited funds to help with prescription co-pays, transportation to medical appointments and other essential emergency needs.

  • Most of the funds for these needs come from specific donations from churches and individuals.
  • Hope Clinic is a last resort for financial assistance and those seeking help should apply to other agencies first.
    • To get help:
Before applying to Hope for financial assistance you must first apply to other area agencies. Click here for instructions and a list of agencies and their contact information.
    • To help with financial needs:
If you are an individual or church who would like to help others when they have emergency financial needs contact Hope Center at 734-484-2989 to work out payment arrangements.
