| Campaign for One Hope: Case for Support
Hope Clinic has been providing compassionate care to local residents for over 25 years. From its inception in 1982, Hope has relied on generous volunteers and donors to provide its services. In 2008 the value of professional volunteer services and donated goods, including medicines accessed for patients, was $3,435,091. This means that for every dollar spent $4.17 of service was provided.
Currently, our patients and volunteers travel between our three main facilities in Ypsilanti. Each site is experiencing serious space constraints due to increased need. The Campaign for One Hope will fund the expansion of the current Hope enter on Harriet Street. With the support of a generous donor and local foundation, we purchased a parcel of land adjacent to Hope Center for the expansion. Another donor pledged a Leadership Matching Gift of $500,000. We have also secured a $400,000 Challenge Grant from the Kresge Foundation. We are seeking a total of $3 million in funds, donated time and building materials.
