About Us
What does Hope Clinic do?
Hope Clinic provides compassionate and practical help to those in need. We offer medical care and dental care to the uninsured, plus a variety of social services to minister to the whole person.
How did Hope Clinic come about?
Hope Clinic was founded 29 years ago by Dr. Dan Heffernan as an expression of his Christian faith. Dr. Dan started with a Saturday morning clinic in borrowed space to serve those without medical insurance and from there Hope has grown to what it is today. See more about our history and milestones.
How successful is Hope Clinic?
We provided over 8,571 medical visits, 4,621 dental visits, filled $3,142,728 worth of prescriptions, served 9,259 hot meals and gave out 14,374 bags of groceries in 2010. We also minister to the spiritual needs of those we serve through prayer. Read more in our annual reports, 990 financial documents, newsletters and more publications.
How can we serve so many?
Hope is blessed with an amazing group of volunteers including 80+ medical and dental professionals each month who provide care and over 250 others who help with food distribution, administrative duties, serve as prayer partners, and more.
How can I join in and make a difference?
We always welcome help. Go here to see the many ways that you can participate in our ministry.
Who runs the show?
We put our faith in Jesus Christ as the director of our work! We implement this calling through our staff and are governed by a Board of Directors. The Pastoral Advisory Council gives essential input on the spiritual direction of the ministry and hosts an annual worship celebration.
Who do we work with?
Hope partners with many local churches, plus a number of agencies and others to ensure that our patients and clients receive the comprehensive care that they need
